Where has the time gone? These events seemed to us a perfect time to begin a blog--still not happy with that name--of our family.
Madeline's birthday was a great success thanks to thoughtful packages, calls, and cards from loving grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She got a piece of calcite from dad--Maddie is crazy about rocks and minerals. She also got to invite her teacher, Mrs. Taft and her family, to a special birthday dinner.Sarah Jane had a wonderful day on the 10th despite the fact that
she says her "ear bulbs" have been burned out all week (i.e., an excuse not to listen to her parents). She requested German Chocolate Cake -- properly capitalized here because it is the cake of monarchs. Delicious. But, lest we seem too pretentious, Sarah Jane revealed that we live in the land of NASCAR by insisting that we invite her birthday guests (the Bradford family) to a dinner starring corn dogs and tater tots.- click on web album below for more photos & captions -

Bien Venidos a los blogger!!! And happy b-day S.J. Usually, my own birthday celebrations last several days, so it's hard to find time. Plus, my memory bulbs burned out. We're looking forward to LOTS of silliness from this blog. Catch you guys soon on iChat.

Yay!! I love adding new blogs to my list. They are such an easy way to share pictures and keep in touch wit hfamliy far away (i.e. you guys and my little sis!) I am proud of you for embarking on the task and I love those cute girls!! Happy Birthday to them both.
