We've had a flurry of activity this last week. Spring temperatures hit the 80s. Flori hit the double threes. The kids hit the jackpot at the Dawson's (friends) Easter egg hunt.Sarah and I began preparations for Flori's birthday early -- but now we can't remember what we prepared. Actually, Flori insisted on making her own birthday cake and chicken cordon bleu. Who am I to stand in the way of gastronomic progress? At least she saved me a few dishes to clean. We had a very nice birthday meal together and lots of calls from loved ones. Some friends, Melanie and Gennie, were visiting from Utah. Flori (and the baby) got lots of presents
including Melody Gardot's new CD. Good stuff. With company in town we did a little exploring--including some time at Lake Norman (see web album below).

Fun pics! It was fun to see you guys on iChat yesterday--sounds like a crazy weekend but also sounds like so much fun. We need to come play out there soon!
