Apple and the Tree

(Rob) Bea disappeared into her room for a bit after swiping some of my glasses.  When she emerged the resemblance was remarkable.   She is doing well in Kindergarten.  Tonight she counted to 100 (with some help on 60,70,80,90).  I asked if she learned that in school.  She said, "no Sarah Jane taught me."  With sisters like that who needs school?

It sure is quiet around here....

It has been an emotional morning. I felt like crying when the alarm went off at 6am. I almost cried when it was time to wake Bea up and I did cry saying the breakfast prayer. I am not ready to send my kids back to school. It just feels like the summer went waaaayyy too fast.

We drove Bea and Sarah to school with all their supplies and Bea was the very first one there. It was really hard to leave her sitting alone in that room, being so brave. I held it together until we got out to the car and then had a little cry--I feel so lonely and lost today.

My plan was to get the house straightened up, go for a run, and then go to lunch with Rob.  We did NOT plan on a city water main breaking this morning. No water for dishes, showers, cleaning or drinking. So I am left wandering around the house, wondering when/if/how I will get ready for the day.

**Didn't get this posted yesterday, but we did get our water back on and everyone came home tired and sweaty, but happy. I think it was a successful first day!
