I didn't see him do it, but Rob was awfully impressed with the animal control man who donned a welding glove, then grabbed a live squirrel and threw it in the cage. Bea was impressed too, to see a squirrel come walking through her bedroom (in the cage, thank goodness!) A previously deceased squirrel was also removed. Sick.
Today we're again hearing noises in the fireplace, but they are good rattles and bangs. It's the reassuring sound of our chimney top being secured with extra flashing, wire, and roofing nails. It wasn't how we planned to spend our Valentine date money, but peace of mind can be romantic too...and squirrels scratching in the wall are decidedly UN-romantic!! No more chimney visitors please!

Hooray! Now you can sleep easy. Are you sure you didnt' want your vday date money to go towards a taxidermist (they could have preserved your squirrel forever, right.)
Nothing says forever like a preserved squirrel. Nothing.
What an exciting weekend! We only ate at Wendy's... with the kids.
You make me laugh!
